James Wright Obituary

Staff Sergeant James Kevin Wright, 35, passed away on August 25, 2011 from natural causes. He is survived by his parents, Kathy Wright Bailor and Larry Wright; his step-parents Melinda Wright and Don Bailor; his brother MSgt Michael G. Wright, his grandmothers Nell Malone and Naomi Wright Cammack; his grandfather Bill Malone; and many other family members and friends.

James was born in Houston, Texas. He lived in Deer Park, Texas for a number of years. He graduated from Deer Park High School in 1994 as a Texas Scholar and a National Honor Society Student. After briefly attending San Jacinto Junior College, James decided that he really wanted to join the military and did so. James was totally devoted to his military career. He was stationed at Kadena AFB, Okinawa for two years and then went to McGuire AFB, New Jersey where he served honorably for the past 12 years. He was an instrument flight control scheduler for several years and then a maintenance training scheduler before he died.

When he wasn't working, James was an avid movie fan, football fan and loved reading.

A Visitation for James will be held on August 31, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, TX 77581. A Private Service will be held on September 1, 2011. A public interment with full military honors at Houston National Cemetery will take place on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 11:00 am. In addition, a Memorial Service will be conducted at McGuire Air Force Base at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in James' honor to Pearland First United Methodist Church. These funds will be used to further the Lord's work in our community.
