Jerry Ball Obituary
Born to Tom and Irene Ball on Christmas morning December 25, 1939 in Ranger, Texas. He passed away on September 3, 2011 at the age of 71. He is preceded in death by his 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Jerry is survived by his wife of 53 yrs. Delores and their children, Jeanne (Duane), Jerry Wayne, Denise (Todd), Jody (Billy), Tommy and Jamie and special son Johnny Hughes. Grandchildren; Rand, Jace, Alex, Justin, Travis, Maddie Jo, Paige, Garrett, Elissia, Bailey, Mikey, Jessica, and also his great-grandchildren Emma and Briana.
Jerry provided for his family as Owner-Operator Truck Driver, Vacuum Tank Company and a Cross- Country Pipeline Company and was a life member to Pasadena Rodeo Association. He became a Master Mason in good standing to the South Houston Lodge No 1295, South Houston Texas, and to the Valley of Houston Orient of Texas, Scottish Rite Free Masonry S.J. U.S.A.
Jerry fought a battle with Leukemia, in which he never gave up. He went to heaven with his Wife Delores and daughter, Denise, by his side. Thoughts of his family were always with him.
Special thanks to Dr. Paulo Angelino, Dr. Lazaro Cherum, Dr. Brian Douglas and Dr. William C Walters. They gave him many years of service and developed a friendship that lasted forever for Jerry. We also appreciate and want to say thank you to Oncology Consultants, Dr. Paul Holoye. Last, the chemo nurses and staff that got him thru his chemo, Jerry's days were more joyful.
Pallbearers will be; Anson Jones, Clyde Stewart, Danny Ward, John Schrum, Tim Cobb, Dannis McCauley, Larry DeVoy, Todd Carter. Honary Pallbearers; Max Bowen- Life long friend.
All services for Jerry will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway Webster, Texas 77598. Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 from 11:00am to 12:30pm. Services will begin at 12:30pm in the chapel of Forest Park East Funeral Home, followed with a burial in Forest Park East Cemetery.

I know you were proud yesterday. Every person there had a thought or memory of you, I saw several smiles and many tears. As I listened to the kind words and funny stories, I could feel you there with me. I saw you dancing with your sisters, laughing with your brothers, Maw and Paw sitting back and watching it all. I read somewhere that when you die and go to heaven you assume the body, mind and spirit of the happiest time in your life. You are the blue eyed 18 year old with the movie star smile that posed in your prom picture with my Mama. Those eyes and that smile will live on for generations through the lives that you created.
