Jo Ann Brewer Hurst, 67, returned to live with Heavenly Father and her darling Dave on April 7, 2012 after fighting cancer. She was born March 6, 1945 in Sweetwater, TX to Faye Boren and William George Brewer.
She was preceded in death by her sweetheart David Hurst, mother Faye Boren, father William George Brewer and brothers Eddie George Brewer and Roger Dale Brewer.
She is survived by her daughter Sonya Carper and husband Evan, her son Roland Duane Hurst and wife Catalina, son Mike Hurst, and her eight grandchildren who will miss her greatly: Corey Williams, Kayla Carper, David Hurst, Cassidy Hurst, Jordanne Carper, Chloe Hurst, Josette Carper and Taylor Carper. She is also survived by her sister Deloris Smith and brothers Donny Brewer, Frank Brewer, Johnny Brewer and Eugene Brewer.
JoAnn's life was full of love, kindness and service which she showered on all who became a part of her life, including 106 foster children. She had the hands of a worker and the heart of an angel. The family comforts themselves in knowing that she is once again dancing with her sweet David who has been impatiently waiting for her to join him.
A memorial service will be held in her honor at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 4202 Yellowstone Dr., Pasadena, TX on Saturday, April 14 at 5:30 P.M.

Jo Ann will be missed by her family and my heart goes out to the kids. Frank will miss her so much as will Deloris.
