John K. Pierce, Jr, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother passed away Friday, September 14. He was born in Breckenridge, Texas on March 22, 1930 to his parents John K. Pierce, Sr. and Thelma Davis Pierce.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Dorothy Lee Pierce of Kingwood; his sister, Linda Moore and her husband Ben; 5 children, Rhonda Obaugh and her husband Kevin; Debbie Obaugh and her husband Robin; John Pierce, III; Charlie Pierce and his wife Londa; Jennifer Mireles and her husband Tony; 12 grandchildren and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins. Known as "John K" to most, he was a long-time Baytown resident and successfully completed his secular education in Baytown schools, Lee College, the U of H, and the Gemological Institute. He completed his career with Diamond Shamrock in 1985. However, his most valued education was his lifelong study of the Bible. Throughout his life, he lived up to his dedication as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. The Memorial Service was held Saturday, September 22. The private burial will be attended by immediate family only.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
