Kenneth Ray Chemin, 73, born August 23, 1943 in St. Joseph Parish, Louisiana went to be with the Lord November 23, 2016 at his home in Deer Park, Texas surrounded by his family.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Carolyn Chemin; son, Chris Chemin and wife Jennifer; daughter, Cheryl Sloan and husband Vincent; grandchildren, Cailey, Kevin, and Cade; and by his sister, Arlene Guerrero.
Ken was preceded in death by his mother, Myrtle Gonzales; by his sons, Christopher Read, and Stephen Read; by his brothers, Harry Chemin, V. J. Chemin; and by his sister, Pamela Gonzales.
He worked for both Reynolds Aluminum and Oxy Vinyl. Ken was an active member of St. Hyacinth Catholic Church, in Deer Park. He was very involved in yearly elections and loved politics.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m., Monday, November 28, 2016, at Rosewood Funeral Home Chapel, 3939 Pasadena Blvd., Pasadena, Tx. 77503, with a rosary to be recited at 6 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church, 2921 Center St., Deer Park, Tx. 77536, and interment will follow at Grand View Memorial Park. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. following the interment at Deer Park United Methodist Church, 1300 E. Thirteenth St., Deer Park, Tx. 77536.
