Leon Busby Obituary
Leon George Busby Jr., 28, passed away 12-12-14 after a long struggle with drugs and alcohol. Leon Jr. was born in Baytown, TX 6-21-86 and lived in Huffman, TX. He moved to Deer Park when he was 5 and attended Deer Park schools. He attended San Jacinto Central and Austin Community college. Leon Jr. is survived by his parents Leon and Charlotte Busby, sister Priscilla Busby, and grandparents Marvin and June Muse of Alice, TX. Leon Jr. had many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Thomas and Jewel Busby of Alabama and Charles Williams of Houston. Leon Jr. was christened at Lake Houston Methodist and confirmed in First United Methodist. Leon Jr. was loved very much by his family, and they never gave up hope that he would overcome his addictions. They pray now for his peace! Leon Jr. had dreams of becoming a husband, father and writer. He wrote poetry and read it in a coffee house in Austin, TX. He was writing a book about his life and hoped to have it published. Leon Jr. had a kind heart and was a hard worker. The family wishes peace for all families and children of addiction! Leon Jr. was cremated, and his final resting place will be in Grand View Cemetery.

When I think of Leon I remember a sweet, polite blonde haired little boy who always loved to come down the street to play with me and the other neighborhood kids. I pray for the family that in time they will no longer be overcome with sorrow, but may be comforted with peace and happy memories of the times they all shared.
