Funeral services for Mack Allen Jackson, age 83, of Buffalo, Texas and formerly of Pasadena, Texas were held 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the Stewart Memorial United Methodist Church in Buffalo. Rev. Ralph Hale and Gary Helmcamp officiated at the services. Interment followed at 3:00 P.M. in the Old Prospect Cemetery in Rusk County, Texas.
Mr. Jackson was born in Charleston, South Carolina March 20, 1930 and raised in Council Hill, Oklahoma until he was eleven years old. He worked as a welder for many years before moving to Pasadena in 1954 to raise his children, Ginger and William. Mr. Jackson was a "workaholic". He owned and ran several cosmetology schools. The first one was in Pasadena, then South Houston and, later, in League City, Texas. He took pride in knowing that women could have a career path by going to one of his schools.
Mr. Jackson passed away Wednesday morning, April 3, 2013 in his home in Buffalo.
Surviving family includes his wife, Karen Sallee Jackson of Buffalo; son, William Allen Jackson of Pasadena; daughters, Virginia Lyn Zeiger and husband, Jimmy of Pasadena and Courtney Dawn Jackson Gunn and husband, Jason of Buffalo and step-son, Scott Webb and wife, Kimberly of Buffalo. He is also survived by numerous other relatives.
