On the morning of November 7, 2016 Michael Richard Grepps passed away peacefully after a battle with Lung Cancer. A private service was held in Palliative Unit of the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center. The American Flag was presented to his wife of 40 years Ann Louise. He was born in Baltimore, MD October 9, 1946 to Paul Robert Grepps Jr. and Ann Louise Stalnecker. He was a 6 year veteran of the United States Air Force, having served 2 tours of duty during the Vietnam War. Honorably discharged with the rank of Staff Sgt. He is survived by step-children Michael Bryan Smith, wife Shelley, John Wayne Smith, husband Michael Susco, Kevin Patrick Smith, Dr. Steven Scott Smith, wife Carol. Daughter Dawn Michele Jenkins, husband James. Grandfather to, Zachary Smith, Emily Smith, Ronald Gaydos, Natalie Gaydos, Steven, Brendan, Ceara and Jon Jenkins. He is survived by his brother Paul Robert Grepps, III, wife Jule and nephews Paul, wife Lisa, Eric and John, wife Danielle. Nieces, Maeve, Hazel and Charlotte, nephew Luke. He will be missed by his family and friends. He donated his remains to the University of Texas Medical Research.

Michael and I attended the same high school. He was a good friend for years. He had a great love for animals. He will be missed.
