Nancy M. Stockdale, 78 of Pasadena, Texas, went to be with the Lord on December 4, 2015 after a lengthy illness. Nancy was born August 23, 1937 in Painesville, Ohio to Frank and Wilma Mate. She attended schools in Lake County, Ohio and was married to Cecil Stockdale on December 29, 1956. They moved with their four children to Pasadena, Texas in September 1968. Nancy was a long time member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Dickinson, Texas (formerly Austin Ave. Baptist Church in Pasadena, Texas.) Nancy is survived by her husband of 58 plus years, son's, Troy Stockdale of La Porte, Todd Stockdale and wife Sherri of Deer Park, daughters, Jill Rice of Pasadena, Judy Hillhouse and husband Ray of Nacogdoches, eight grandchildren, Lindsey Gregory and husband Tommy, Matthew Stockdale, Heath Stockdale and wife Carla, Lauren Rice, Zachary Stockdale, Cody Rice, Tyler Johnson, Kaylee Johnson, three great grandchildren, Teagan, Korben and Kira, brother Donald Mate, Sister Diane Mate of Ohio, and many nieces and nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and Sister Marilyn Swank.
Visitation with family and friends will be held at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas 77505, on December 6, 2015 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. Funeral Service will be held at Grand View Funeral Home on December 7, 2015 at 10:00am with Interment to follow at Grand View Memorial Park. Pastor Charles B. Dill to officiate.
