Norma Brown Obituary

Norma Shirley Olson Brown, 88, formerly of Deer Park and Moscow, TX passed away on Friday, June 1, 2018. Norma was born on October 11, 1929 in Chicago, IL to parents Fred and Elisa (Wildros) Olson.

Norma grew up in Chicago, IL, Pacific Palisades, CA, and in Reeseville, WI. On her way to California in 1949, Norma stopped in Texas and met John Henry Brown, the love of her life. They married on July 14, 1950. They lived all over Texas and Louisiana until they settled down in Deer Park in 1964. Norma had a successful Day Care from 1967 - 1977 where she helped raise many fine Deer Park and Pasadena children. In 1977 she and John moved to their 80 acre ranch in Moscow Texas, where she helped John run Brown's Septic System and then their Heavy Equipment business. They moved back to Houston when they retired in 2007.

Norma was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt, Sister-in-law, and friend. She was loved by all. We will miss her so much.

Norma was preceded in death by her mother, Elisa (Viola) Elving, father, Fred Oscar Olson, and brother, Frank Oscar Olson.

She is survived by husband, John Henry Brown, daughters, Lindee Rambeau, Dale Jimenez and husband Matthew Jimenez, and Jana West and husband Ray West, grandchildren, Marcy Lyon and husband Richard Lyon, Jeff Rambeau and wife Alyssa, Elisa Landry and husband Peter Landry, Jeremy Jimenez, Ray West and wife Brooke, Jackie Horseman and husband Levy and Melanie Smythe. She is survived by 14 great grandchildren.

A private burial is being held at Forest Park East in League City. The family will host a celebration of Norma's life in July.
