There is NEVER a good time to say good bye for the last time. There are NEVER sufficient words to describe the hurt and loss at the time of a death of a parent, especially a mother. The tremendous "alone" feeling can be partially dulled by the realization that scores of persons are also feeling your pain, even though they were not close to your mother, but are very close to you and are ever present to sustain you through this time of grief. May God grant you strength and insight during this time of maximum sorrow. Kenneth L. Mattox, MD (Baylor College of Medicine - Ben Taub General Hospital - Office of the Chief of Staff)

Mimi was a feisty, beautiful person with a heart of gold. I called her “Ma” for over 30 years, she was like a second mom to me. She never met a stranger and was always there to lend a hand to anyone who came in her path, be it a stranger, friend or family. I loved her smile, her kind heart and her caring personality. Not too many people can leave such a wonderful footprint on your Heart but she has forever left one on mine. Thank you God for allowing me to spend so many years with such a wonderful women. She was a beautiful mother, grandma, great grandma and friend to so many. She's left so many memories for us to remember her By. May God bless the Schriever family in this time of sorrow.
