Robert "Bob" A. Schamber, 88, of Pasadena, TX passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018. He was born on April 10, 1930 in Hattiesburg, MS to Edward and Virginia Schamber. Bob spent his early years in Hattiesburg and Oak Grove, MS. After serving in the U.S. Army, he moved to Pasadena, TX in 1955 and went to work for Champion Paper, retiring in 1995. He and his wife Laura (Kitty) owned and operated Bob's Discount Guns in Pasadena for 28 years.
Bob is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Laura (Kitty); father, Edward; mother, Virginia; brother, Edward and nephew, Albert. He is survived by his daughters, Darlene Jones and husband Ronnie, Toni Ellis and husband Bruce; grandsons, Wesley Jones and wife Laurie, Michael Jones and wife Jessica; granddaughters, Laura Costa and husband Michael and Lisa Ellis; great granddaughter, Saige Gough; great grandsons, Kaden Jones and Emery Jones. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. Bob was a devoted husband, beloved father, and loving grandfather and great grandfather.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 2:00pm to 3:00pm at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, TX 77505. Funeral services will follow at 3:00pm in the Chapel of Grand View Funeral Home. Interment Grand View Memorial Park.
