Roy (Brad) Stanton, 80, of Pasadena, Texas, passed away on June 18, 2016. He was born October 11, 1935, in El Paso, Texas - the oldest of 4 children to Annette and Hale McClure Stanton.
Brad was predeceased in death by his wife Dr. Ann Lindsey Stanton; his younger brother, Hale Stanton, Jr., and his parents.
He is survived by his 2 brothers, Gerry Stanton and Paul Stanton of Houston, Texas; his extended family Peggy Reed, Rhonda Kyser, Holli Sutton, David Smith, Gloria Hahn and Kristi Miché. Brad was a loving husband and great friend to all.
At the age of 17 he started college at Texas Christian University where he received a psychology degree and worked for the Texas Youth Coucil. He relocated to Houston, Texas to attend University of Houston Law School. After earning his law degree in September 1965, he started his law practice in Pasadena, Texas and continued working in the Pasadena area as an attorney until his death in 2016. Recently Brad was honored by receiving an Outstanding 50 Year Award Pin.
Brad enjoyed his work as an attorney, he also loved golfing, hunting, snow skiing, and was a huge sports fan.
Brad was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Pasadena, Texas and lived an honorable Christian life, he will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Funeral services were held at 9 a.m., Saturday, June 25, 2016, at Rosewood Funeral Home Chapel in Pasadena, Texas. Family graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, June 26, 2016, at Creek Cemetery, in Houston County, Texas
