Sari Lynn Cockrell

Sari Lynn Cockrell, 64, of Pasadena, Texas passed away peacefully on August 21, 2015 at MD Anderson, Houston, Texas. She was born July 27, 1951 in Pasadena, Texas to Cleve Reber and Gladys Parks Reber. Lynn's grandfather, JD Parks Sr., and the Parks family were one of the founding families of Pasadena. She was an active member at South Main Baptist Church of Pasadena serving with the ESL Ministry, Children's Ministry, Missions Ministry, and various other areas within the church. She worked at Pipefitters Local #211 for over 37 years, retiring in 2010. She was a graduate of Pasadena High School and Sam Houston State University.

She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Charles Benjamin Cockrell; Son, Benjamin Cockrell and his wife Jessica of Kingwood; Son, Rev. Casey Cockrell and wife Tasha of Tyler, Texas; Grandchildren, Claire Elizabeth and Kate Elyse Cockrell; sister, Leslie Reber of Pasadena, Texas.

Visitation will be Monday evening, August 24, at South Main Baptist Church of Pasadena from 6-8 PM. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, August 25at 10 AM at South Main Baptist Church in Pasadena, Texas 4300 East Sam Houston Pkwy S, Pasadena, TX 77505. Graveside will be at 2 PM at the Union Springs Cemetery in Corrigan, Texas.

Pallbearers are Ron Alsbrooks, John Presley Alsbrooks, Buddy Parks, Loyd Wells, Bill McMillian and Kenneth Edwards.

Very special friends to Lynn are Darlene Daniels, Judy Wells, Lydia McMillian and Pam Olive.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to the ESL Ministry at South Main Baptist Church of Pasadena, Texas, a ministry Lynn joyfully served with and believed in greatly.
