Love and prayers for Mike and Bill and their families. I loved my Uncle Bing Bing, and he has always had a special place in my heart. He and Aunt Jean were wonderful to me their niece. I know he is so happy to be home with Jesus and his Rose Jean. I miss you. I've already had thoughts to call you about different things. I'll miss our phone conversations. I love and miss you. I Look forward to the day we will All be together again.

What wonderful next-door neighbors, The Ervin's: Mr. & Mrs. Ervin, Mike & Bill & Sam the dog! After leaving Deer Park and throughout my married life, Christmas Cards from Jean & William, and later, emails kept us in touch. Oh how I treasure the kindness and care shown by the the sweet neighbors from my childhood! Mike and Bill and Family: we send our sincere sympathy in the passing of your Dad! He was "one of a kind!"

The Ervin family moved to Deer Park about the same time the Rhame family did. Our families became close friends through our association with First Baptist Deer Park and school. I admired your folks very much. We had a lot in common, except for the boys/girls. Our dad's both retired from Shell Oil and were members of the Greatest Generation. Above all, they were awesome fathers. Heaven grows sweeter every day!

Mr. "Bill" Ervin was the finest Supervisor I ever worked for, at Shell or anywhere else. We were both former "Marines," he in WWII and me in Vietnam. I knew of no one who didn't respect Mr. Ervin to the utmost. He will be missed!

I enjoyed knowing and laughing with Mr. William (Bill). Lillian, his sister was a great friend of mine for many years and I often saw him and Robert at her home. He was a fine gentleman and his sister loved him very much. I am so sorry to hear of his passing and now they are together to watch over us all. Condolences to the family and my prayers are being sent your way.

Sweetest, kindest next door neighbor anyone could ever have! Always had a kind word to say with a sweet smile. Thursday morning I was looking out my window at my home now in Centerville Tx and saw a humming bird at my bird feeder and decided to fill my feeders a lil early. I remember being on Mr. Ervin's back patio and there were a good 50 hummingbirds flying around his feeders. So every time I see a humming bird I think of our sweet neighbor Mr. Ervin. He's in such a better place now holding sweet Mrs. Ervin in his arms once again. :-)
