Willie Marie Hanson
January 13, 1938 - November 23, 2014
Marie, known to family as Aunt Willie, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, November 23, 2014. She was born January 13, 1938 in Yoakum, Texas as Willie Marie Sawey. She is survived by her children Donald Haase and partner Janine Thompson of Birmingham, Alabama, Sharon Roane and husband Curtis of Crosby, Tim Haase and wife Sue of Pasadena, grandchildren and great-grandchildren Steven Roane and wife Jodie and their son Blake and daughter Addison of Humble, Mark Roane and wife Carmen and their son Aiden of Crosby, Joshua Haase and Magen Haase. She is also survived by her brother Willis "Sonny" Sawey and wife Michelle of San Antonio, sisters Ruth Mueller and husband John of Concrete, Ethel Smith of Yoakum, and Patricia Townsend of San Antonio as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Hanson, sisters Helen Mueller, Mary Jamelka, Clara Kunkler, and Effie Page and most recently her niece and nephew-in-law, Janet and Frank Castecka.
Marie grew up in Sweet Home and moved to the Pasadena area with her husband Marvin Haase to raise their family. Later she remarried to Raymond Hanson whom together they owned and operated Burger Prince on Southmore. Since his death, Marie has mostly been a caretaker for many loved-ones. She had a caring heart and was always willing to lend support to her family and friends. She will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be Friday, November 28, 2014, 4 to 7PM. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 12:30PM both at Pasadena Funeral Chapel located at 2203 Pasadena Blvd. Pasadena, TX 77502. Interment will following at Forest Lawn Cemetery 8701 Almeda Genoa Houston TX 77075.
