Alice Mgrublian Obituary

July 16, 1924 - February 25, 2022 Alice Madlin Mgrublian was born in Montreal, Canada to Serop and Repega Kalpakjian. She spent her childhood in Montreal and in 1947 immigrated to the United States to further her accounting career. She worked for Rexall Drugs and Jerseymaid Dairies, made friends, and joined many social groups. She also met a young man, Harold Mgrublian, on a "chance" dinner with their families. They were married in 1958. The family settled in South Pasadena. Alice was very active in St James Episcopal Church, South Pasadena High School Career Center, PTSA, Daughters of Vartan, the San Gabriel Valley Ararat Guild, and every election -volunteering at her local polling place. Alice was a lifelong learner. She often could be found in her family room listening to political talk shows while surrounded by stacks of magazines, newspapers, books and crossword puzzles. She is survived by David (Margaret) and Diane (Ronald), and granddaughters Kathryn (Nerses) Aposhian, Madlyn Mgrublian, and Taleen Mitchell. Alice was predeceased by Harold who passed away in 2019. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Forest Lawn - Hollywood Hills
