FRED QUIJAS Obituary

82, of Upland, passed away March 21, 2011, at San Antonio Hospital in Upland. He was born November 28, 1928, in Brawley, CA, and lived in Pomona for over 60 years. He worked as a construction worker and custodian for 40 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during the end of WWII. He enjoyed reading books on WWII, watching movies, and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Leonor G. Quijas of 53 years, daughter Alicia Walker of Upland, son Fred Quijas Jr. of Upland and grandchildren Joshua Walker, Danielle Walker, Alison Walker, Melissa Quijas, Danielle Quijas. Visitation will be held 4-7PM Friday, March 25th, and Rosary at 6PM at Draper Mortuary, Ontario. Services will be held at 9AM, Saturday March 26th at Draper Mortuary, Ontario. Interment will be in Bellevue Memorial, Ontario.

Mrs. Quijas, Licha and Fred,
Mr. Quijas was an inspiration to all of us in the neighborhood and to everyone who met him. We were all so much the richer having known him and he will be missed very, very much. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. God Bless!
