Marcella Sauer Obituary

SAUER, Marcella Mae

Marcella Mae Sauer, passed away March 3, 2012. Born December 5, 1930 to Herbert and Tina Duesing in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She moved to Medford, WI at an early age and graduated from Medford High school. Marcella played Trumbone in the school band. After graduation she went to Chicago to work at Augustana Nursey Training and School. In 1950 her and her girlfriend came to California on vacation and she never went back.

She met her husband of 56 years, Edward while they both were working at the same Bank of America. She owned and operated Gildo's Italian Pizza and Deli in Norwalk, CA for 7 years and worked at her husbands Real Estate office. She was also a secretary for Rockenback, Inc and Wel-Rock, Inc before her cancer forced her to resign. Her and her husband also has two exchange students from Japan and Germany, she was an avid coupon clipper and great Angel fan.

Survived by sons, Michael and Mark Sauer and daughter Teresa Griffith, grandchildren Kristina Andersen, Tina Sauer and Mark Sauer Jr., plus 5 great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be at Forest Lawn, Covina Hills on Friday, March 9, 2012 from 5:00 to 9:00 P.M.Services wll be held on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 10:30 A.M at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church 15710 Newton Street Hacienda Heights, CA.

In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to Hospice of Presbyterian in the name of Marcella Sauer 15050 Imperial Highway, La Mirada, CA 90638.

To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
