Harold Kitay

Harold Kitay Loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, mentor, and inspiration, Harold Kitay passed away peacefully at his home June 26, 2013. A Tucson entrepreneur for 54 years, Harold founded a chain of building supply stores in California and Arizona, and was involved in the manufacturing of home products. He continued to be active in real estate in Southern Arizona as a founding partner of Whirlygig Properties. An active member of the Tucson community and longtime supporter of the arts, Harold served on the board of trustees of the Tucson Museum of Art and was a retired board member of the Bank of Tucson. In addition, he was an active fundraiser for many local charities and organizations. He was most recently involved with the Native American Advancement Foundation helping end the cycle of poverty through education. He is survived by Pearl, the love of his life and wife of 64 years; their two children, Barry (Holly) and Nancy Galdi; adored grandchildren, Heather (Christopher Holmes), Hillary, Elizabeth (Frank Racioppi), and Andrew Galdi, and cherished great-grandchildren, Gavin and Olivia Holmes. Per his wishes, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers he requested that donations be made to NAAF (P.O.
