John Crawford Obituary

A baby boy was born in 1954. He loved being a child playing outside and the celebrations at Erickson Playfield. In Kindergarten he brought his favorite toys home for his little sister, oops had to return them. In 5th grade he developed the love of music, especially playing the violin, the piano and the accordion. He could pick up almost any instrument and figure out how to play it. He earned Eagle Scout in Boy Scouts. He had a brilliant mind, memory and was the keeper of family history.

He served 4 years in the Air Force receiving several awards. He was very accurate in every job he held, the last being in HR at Peninsula College.

He played his violin in the Port Angeles Symphony for many years, also the Sequim Community Orchestra with his 200 year old violin.

He belonged to the Metropolitan car club for over 35 years. He loved his old cars, the Hudson, Beetle, Vanagon and several Metros during the years.

He was my closest brother in age, almost Irish twins.

My brother was sent on his final journey June 22nd, surrounded by family, friends, also Pastor Matt visited. He was ushered out of this life by trio music from 3 orchestra friends.

Special thanks to Candi for her gentle care.

Our family now has another angel watching over us. Hold tight to your loved ones. Cancer is horrible.

A celebration of life will be held July 10th at 11:00 a.m. First Presbyterian Church, Port Angeles, 139 W 8th street.

Donations can be made to the memorial fund honoring Beaulah Crawford Children's Education Fund. He will be placed at the Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA.
