James Stroud Obituary

James Donald

Stroud, Jr.

1945-2016

James Donald Stroud, Jr., 70, of Pensacola passed away on January 4, 2016. He was born on September 3, 1945 in North Carolina to James Donald Stroud, Sr. and Evelyne Joan Smith Stroud.

James was the owner of Key Aluminum & Vinyl Supply, Inc. of Pensacola, FL for nearly 25 years. He was also involved with Habitat for Humanity for many years.

James loved and enjoyed Outlaw ProMod Racing with his friends and family for many years. They all lived and breathed it. He was like a kid in a candy store, he had to have more when it came to racing. He was always looking for the next best time. He always tried to beat the last run.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include: his wife, Elizabeth Hobbs Stroud; children, Dawn Britton (Mark), Michael Keith Stroud, Gary Scott Stroud, Amanda Pugh (Gary), and Eddie (Kelly) Hobbs; grandchildren, Bobby Britton, Justin Britton, Nicholas Britton, Michael Stroud, Christopher Stroud, Whitney Stroud, Samantha Stroud, Priscilla (Taf) Bentley, Tanson Hobbs, and Cody Hobbs; and nine great-grandchildren.

Trahan Family Funeral Home, 6539 Trammel Dr., Milton, is in charge of arrangments.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 8, 2016 at the funeral home.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2016 also at the funeral home.

Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Sacred Heart Hospital, on the 3rd floor, 6th floor, and Progressive Care Unit.
