I´ve known Mother Leverette since I was a little boy. She´s always stayed the same she was just as sweet as she could be. Mother has always stood by her husband Rev Leverette. I know God is very pleased with her because she was a perfect example of how a wife is supposed walk beside her husband. She had a meek and quiet spirit, and I´ll always remember so long as I walk this year.

Dear Leverette Family, I just heard of the passing of your dear Teresa. When I was a teacher at OJ Semmes, I was blessed to know this great lady! She was so gracious and sweet. She was especially kind and gentle to my aged Mother at the faculty Christmas dinner . We thought she was the perfect Southern Lady. I know you miss her, but rejoice where she is!

A month later seems like a long time to wait to say goodbye to someone you love, but honestly, I don't want to-at least I hadn't expected to have to so soon. You just visited me this past October. Forgive me for being so informal, but you were such a sweet and gentle spirit. I could look at you and smile just the way I did with my mother. And, every time I lost a family member, you would come up behind me with a hug. I was like, there's the sweetness I know. You touched so many people and understood things that hadn't even been said. I love and miss you a lot.

To Pastor, take it easy. It's hard, but take care of yourself. People ignore the pulpit, but preachers have feelings, too. May God be your comfort as you travel through this difficult time. I love you.

To the family, it's very hard losing someone so near and dear to your heart. My mother passed seven months ago today, but it still feels like yesterday. I have been finding comfort, but it has taken time. I pray you do as well. Sending hugs your way. Take care of Pastor. We still need him to encourage and teach us the right way. Peace and blessings to each of you.

And, to the church, Mt. Sinai, thank you for being there. It is truly a blessing to know someone will be there when you need them. Blessings to all you as well.

First Lady, you were truly a virtuous woman, pressing past your own pain to see about others. You will be remembered and cherished always. I love you.

A loving sweet spirit has striped off her earthly robes of mortality and placed on her robe of immortality and taken flight to be with our Lord. We will so greatly miss your presence here with us, that beautiful smile that always greeted us and your kind sweet words of comfort. My prayers and words of comfort are with your family as they transition through this process of grief. They better than most know that to absent from this body is to be present with the Lord. Rest in the bosom of his promise to us.
