Dear Monette family, please accept my deepest sympathy on the passing of David. I started my military resale career with VHMonette company and David taught me a lot about this business. He did an excellent job because after 31 years I am still in the business.

Dear Monette Family. I was sad to hear of David's passing. David and VH Monette will always be remembered by all of us that were fortunate enough to work and associate with him. He taught us well. I believe everyone who worked for David will never go through a toll booth without thinking of him and smiling. He was energetic, enthusiastic, tough, and always positive. God Bless all of you during this difficult time.

Dear Monette Family
I was so sorry to hear about David's passing. He touched many lives with his vitality and enthusiasm. Being one of the first females in the military industry was a challenge, but the Monette company was a great supporter and very instrumental in the early years of my career. It was so different working for a family vs. a large corporation and going to the “farm” for the home office. David challenged us all and he brought out the best of us. I can't pass a toll booth and not think of him. He always told us, if we couldn't cut it in the sales department there was another calling being a toll taker. Many of us that are still in the industry owe a lot to David and the family. If you survived and were successful, you knew you could “make it anywhere”. He was also a strong supporter of the military family and preserving their benefits. We all thank him for that.
Fond memories are seeing David dress up in a superman costume at sales meeting, and come running through a paper banner out to the audience. If you were sleeping that certainly woke you up. We had a lot of fun, and grew up in those magical years with the company. Thank you David, for touching my life in such a positive way. You and the VH Monette Company will never be forgotten. I forged some lifelong friends there, and that in the end is what it is all about. God Bless you and your family during this difficult time.

You do not know me, but my Dad and Mr. V. Monette were friends. My Dad was a State Trooper at the time. His name is Phillip Marlowe. He thought a lot of your family. God be with you all in your sorrow.

Dear Monette Family,
I was 28yrs. old when I opened a letter...a job offer on gold embossed letterhead offering me a position as an account executive with V.H. Monette Co. It was signed by David G. Monette. My wife and I were so excited! Shortly after reporting to the office in Smithfield I was introduced to others and given a tour. As my guide and I left the cafeteria we then took a shortcut through the mailroom where for the first time I personally met David. Wow...what an imposing figure!I found him firm yet friendly. And what transcended it all during our brief introduction and discussion was his smile. For years to follow the flash of that smile would defuse the pressure and demands of business I often felt while letting me know he approved of my effort(s). My peers felt the same way.David lifted us all with his enthusiasm.I so appreciate how he could change the tenor of a tough meeting with humor then return to the business at hand. Several times my wife and our first two children visited the office. David would suggest that "they should take home some m&ms and treats". With the news of David's passing my heart is tender...filled with wonderful memories of our association.I am grateful for knowing him and the positive influence he has been in my life now 29 years later. My professional life was significantly shaped because of my work experience at V.H.Monette under David's leadership. My family has benefited greatly from that. My peace during this time is in the promise by the Father of us all that David will one day reunite with his wife and precious family. Until that day.. my deepest sympathy, love and kindest regards to each of you.

Dear Monette Family,
As a past employee of V. H. Monette & Company, dating back to the early 70's until the death of Mr. Valmore Monette, I was fortunate to work with David and share his sense of humor. He had a great time teasing the "order department" about products. I will never forget his humor, kindness, and extraodinary ability to make us laugh when times were difficult, and his amazing smile.
Rest in peace, David Monette. Employees who were fortunate to work for your Dad and you, wish you a fond farewell. I have no doubt you have already earned your angel wings as you never left loose ends. The heavens are welcoming you with open arms.
My prayers are with you David, and each of your family members.
May God bless you and I wish you a safe transition until we meet again.
