Frank Lukasiewicz Obituary

Frank W. Lukasiewicz VIRGINIA BEACH - Retired U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Frank W. Lukasiewicz passed away Oct. 12, 2009, in Sentara Leigh Hospital. A native of Buffalo, N.Y., he was the son of the late William V. and Joanne S. Lukasiewicz. He retired from the United States Marine Corps as a captain after 25 years of service. He was a Eucharistic lay minister and lector at the Little Creek Amphibious Base Catholic Community Chapel. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy C. Lukasiewicz; two sons, Michael Anthony and John Francis Lukasiewicz, both of Virginia Beach; a daughter, Tammy Ann Boulden and husband Paul of Richmond, Va.; six grandchildren, Paul B. Boulden Jr. and wife Kim, William R. Boulden, Ann E. Boulden and fiancé Stephen Hamer and Timothy, Mary and Michael Lukasiewicz; and three brothers, James Lukas and wife Ellen, Donald Lukasiewicz and wife Betty and Paul Lukasiewicz and wife Louise, all of Buffalo, N.Y. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by a son, Frank W. Lukasiewicz Jr. A Mass of the Resurrection will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Little Creek Amphibious Base Chapel with Monsignor Frederic Elkin officiating. The burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. with a Rosary service at 7 p.m. All non-military family and friends who wish to attend services on the base must register with the funeral home at (757) 464-6221 no later than 1 p.m. Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Help Hospitalized Veterans, American Cancer Society or the Kempsville Volunteer Rescue Squad. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
