I haven't seen my Dear Grandmother for a long time. It's probably been 38 years since I've seen her, and now, until the day that I pass, well, I'll have to wait a little longer. The most vivid memory I can share is when Me and my little Brothers Stuart and Steven were "crabbin" off the back of her backyard. We were in our bathing suits having a great time! We'd tie the chicken onto the string and when the crabs came and bit on it, we'd scoop up the crabs! The hard part for us was shaking the darn things out of the nets and not have them latching onto our toes! Lol! Well, I can remember we made Grandmother mad, and she took our bucket of crabs, marched over to the bulkhead and dumped them over! She made us eat spaghetti and meatballs for dinner! We sat there with long faces! But she did make darn good spaghetti! I'm in shock that she's gone, but sometimes we just get tired. We just get tired. There's nothing at all wrong with that. I know that having us kids around made her nervous. Many times I wish I could have seen her, I guess that chance is gone. She is in a better place. I love you Grandmother. Even though you'd never let me call you Grandma. I always thought you had class. So calling you Grandmother was fitting. I always thought you were beautiful, but I never told you. I love you.
Your Granddaughter,
Richelle Lanee Mallory
