Lawrence Neeson Obituary
Virginia Beach - Lawrence Melvin Neeson, Jr, 62, passed away on August 24, 2016 in a local hospital. Larry was born in Pittsburg, PA to the late Lawrence and Virginia Neeson, Sr, and has been an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan since birth. He worked for NOAA and was a dedicated loyal employee and considered himself a "Company Man" for 40 years until his retirement in 2014.
Larry is survived by his devoted wife of 34 years, Diana, his loving son, Benjamin, a sister, GiGi, 2 nieces, Amy and Jill, numerous cousins from Virginia Beach, Pittsburg, and Florida as well as 2 aunts and many good friends. He was a loving husband and proud father who will be deeply missed by all those that knew him.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Rd Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Virginia Beach rescue Squad. Online condolences may be made to the family at hdoliver.com.

We here at the Atlantic Operations Branch in Chesapeake have many great memories of Larry, all the way back into the 80's. Larry was a good person, a hard worker, and an understanding friend and colleague. We will miss him immensely - may he rest in peace.

I will remember Larry as a mentor, a friend, and someone very special. I will cherish the time that I spent with him traveling, learning, working, and just enjoying life.
