Owen Hargett Obituary
Corapeake - Owen Wayne Hargett, 75, of 1113 Union Branch Road, died Wednesday, February 20, 2013 in his home.
Mr. Hargett was born in Russellville, Ala. and was the son of the late Owen Herthel and Juanita Hargett. A retired Chief Petty Officer with 20 years of service in the United States Navy, he was a veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Later he worked with Norfolk Naval Shipyard for over 20 years, and also was an active member of the Chesapeake Auxiliary Police Dept. for 10 years.
Surviving are his wife of over 53 years, Jeanette Stahusky Hargett; and his daughter, Marie Spruill and husband Mike of Corapeake.
No services are planned. Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, is assisting the family with arrangements.

I was so very sorry to learn of the passing of my first cousin, Wayne Hargett. Wayne's Daddy, Herthel Hargett & my Mom, Mary Gladys Hargett Taylor were siblings.
