Sidney Ricks Obituary

Sidney Ricks, Jr.

Chesapeake - Sidney Ray Ricks, Jr., 83, passed away October 9, 2014 in his home. He is the son of the late Sidney Ray Ricks, Sr. and Gertrude Leveda (Banks) Ricks. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy. A former Boy Scout Leader he was also a member of Hickory Ridge Community Church.

He is survived by his beloved wife, June Turner Ricks; children, David Ray Ricks and his wife, Connie of Moyock, Michael William Ricks and his wife, Anne of Stafford, Susan Ricks Coard and her husband, Mike of Chesapeake; siblings, Anne Sayers of AL, William "Bill" Ricks of Virginia Beach, James Ricks of Ecuador; grandchildren, Justin, Joshua, Logan, Braden, Bryant, Paul, Lorrie and great-grandchildren, Zac, Adam and Taylor.

A memorial service will be held at Hickory Ridge Community Church Sunday October 12th at 3pm with Pastor Calvin Corbitt officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Hickory Ridge Community Church Building Fund. Online condolences may be offered at www.altmeyer.com
