Marilyn Fuchs Obituary
WASHBURN - Marilyn Mae Fuchs, 87, of Metamora and Washburn passed away on Friday July 2, 2021, at 4:48 p.m. at Heritage Health in Chillicothe.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Heritage Health Chillicothe, or T.O.U.C.H., the organization for understanding Congenital Hearts, % Congenital Heart Center, 420 N.E. Glen Oak Ave, Suite 301, Peoria, IL 61603.
Calvert & Johnson Memorial Home in Washburn is assisting the family with arrangements.
Marilyn was born on July 22, 1933, in Linwood, Scott County, Iowa, to Harold Otis and Mae Esther (Long) DeLap.
Surviving are her children, Edward Fuchs and Beth Grebner, both of Washburn, Beverly Kuebler of Chillicothe, James (Luanna) Fuchs of Butternut, WI, and Dennis (Carrie) Fuchs of La Rose; fourteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings, Gerald (Marian) De Lap, Jeannette Washburn, Milton "Curly" (Paulette) De Lap and Evelyn De Lap, all of Metamora.
Her parents; two brothers, Ronald and William De Lap; one sister, Judith Bundy; and an infant sister, Joyce, preceded her in death.
Marilyn worked as a CNA, working at Washington Christian Village and Heritage Health in Chillicothe.
She enjoyed puzzles, word searches, reading and, most of all, spending time with her family. She will be missed.
