Paul Belk Obituary

PEKIN - Paul W. Belk, 90, of Pekin, Ill., passed away at 11:46 a.m. Sunday, May 31, 2015, at his home, with his family at his side.

Paul was born on March 15, 1925, in Pekin to Jerry and Clarice (Thomas) Belk. He married Madeleine M. Frazier on April 2, 1949, in France.

Also preceding him in death were three sisters, Pauline Belk, Vera Hartley and Hazel Eairheart.

Surviving are one son, Daniel R. Belk of Pekin; one grandson, Daniel P. (Amanda) Belk of Peoria, Ill.; and two great-grandsons, Parker Belk and Rico Ponce, both of Peoria.

Paul was a lifetime member of Pekin Bible Church. He was a World War II veteran of the United States Army Air Forces, attaining the rank of staff sergeant. He worked as a millwright for Corn Products Company, retiring in 1980.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 4, 2015, at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory, 2131 Velde Drive, Pekin, with Pastor Rick Jones officiating. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens, with military honors provided by the United States Air Force and the Tazewell Area Ceremonial Team.

Memorial contributions may be made to Pekin Bible Church or TAPS.
