James Rhoads Obituary

James (Jimmy) Rhoads, 78, of Stroudsburg, passed away Friday, January 8, 2021, at The Gardens at Stroud, from complications of COVID 19.
Many first came to know Jimmy in the 1980's when he worked as a dishwasher at the former Summit Resort with his dear friends, Claire and Danny, who are now both deceased. He was in the care of Fitzmaurice Community Services from 1991 until his death.
Jimmy enjoyed fishing, coloring pictures, watching old western TV shows, playing Elvis records, and going to diners with friends. He loved to eat. He adored spending time with his best buddy, Duane. Jimmy will be remembered for his hearty laugh, his gruff voice, and for the love that he gave so freely.
He will be mourned by his many friends at Fitzmaurice, especially the staff at Fulmer House who were like his family. They took great care of him. He will be sorely missed by his friends Duane Hubbard and his wife Pamela.
A burial service at Hillside Cemetery, in Effort, followed by a Celebration of Life in Duane's and Pam's garden, will be held for all friends in early June.
