Joan Burrowbridge Obituary

Joan Burrowbridge, 65, of East Stroudsburg, passed away on March 12 in East Stroudsburg.
Joan Burrowbridge was born in East Stroudsburg to Jean Snyder and the late Edwin Snyder on August 6, 1955. She was the wife of Mark Burrowbridge with whom she celebrated 42 years of love and marriage.
Joan went to school at East Stroudsburg Senior High School and then graduated from North Hampton Community College with her Associates Degree in Art. She worked at Patterson Kelley and waitressed at McDorf's. Then she worked as the secretary for Prudential Insurance in Stroudsburg, and lastly in the Sheriff's office at the Monroe County Court House. The most notable was her talent and love of painting, which she did through oil painting and "Joanables". This was her passion and brought her so much joy.
In addition to her husband, Mark, Joan is survived by her two children: Ty Burrowbridge and wife Jenny of Rumson, NJ and Erin (Burrowbridge) White and husband Jonathan of Stroudsburg; her mother: Jean Snyder; sister: Patricia Miller and husband Guy; brother: John Snyder and wife Rose; as well as several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her four grandchildren who brought her the greatest joy as a Nanny: Keil and Van Burrowbridge of Rumson, NJ and Nathan and Ella White of Stroudsburg.
There will be a visitation for friends and family on Saturday, March 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by a memorial service at the East Stroudsburg United Methodist Church, 83 South Courtland Street, East Stroudsburg, Pa, 18301.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial remembrances be made to the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance (www.ocrahope.org).

So hard to believe I am writing this but at least I know you are now at peace an no longer suffering. It truly is a honor being your little brother. The smile, laughs, joy and love you brought to our family through the years and all of our gatherings are cherished and will never be forgotten as you stay in our hearts forever.
You touched many and they are a better person because of it.
It's only a matter of time before your talents grace Heavens Walls.
