Ronald Neipert Obituary

Ronald "Dutch" Neipert, 71, of East Stroudsburg, passed away Thursday, July 15, in his home. He was the husband of Carolyn "Cookie" (Smith) Neipert. They were married for 18 Years.

Born Jan. 19, 1939, in East Stroudsburg, he was the son of the late Albert and Dorothy (Nevil) Neipert. He was a lifetime resident of Monroe County.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam War.

Prior to his retirement, he worked as a millwright and carpenter for Local No. 1906, Philadelphia, working mostly throughout the Lehigh Valley.

Dutch was a member of the George N. Kemp American Legion, VFW Post 2540 and the CLU Club, all in East Stroudsburg; Fraternal Order of the Eagles No. 1106, Stroud Township; and the Loyal Order of the Moose.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Ronald Neipert Jr., Michael Neipert and James Neipert, all of Florida; two daughters, Pamela Hasara of Stroudsburg and Deborah Kresge of Saylorsburg; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by his brothers Paul "Shorty" Neipert of East Stroudsburg and Douglas Nevil of Stroudsburg; his sisters Zona Price of Reeders, Janice Holden of Bushkill, Brenda Behrman of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Patricia Metzgar of Stroudsburg; and many nieces and nephews; and his favorite buddy, Sam.

He was predeceased by his brother Marshall Neipert.

A celebration of Ronald's life will be held at the convenience of the family.Cremation will be in the H.G. Smith Crematory. There will be no viewing.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: American Cancer Society, RR13, Box 2138, Stroudsburg, PA 18360; or to the Kidney Foundation, 111 S. Independence Mall, Suite 411, Philadelphia, PA 19106.

ill always miss you grandpop, and yes, even all the times you said "christ boy, do i have to show you how to do everything?" and epecially all the "dang nabits!!" even through all that i always knew you loved me. i love you grandpop, your in a happier place now. ill always remember you as the best grandfather anybody could have asked for.
