Devon Morgan Obituary

DEVON DON'TE MORGAN "Big Boy" Gary, Indiana Age 14, at rest November 16, 2008. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Jacqueline Outlar and Floyd Morgan, maternal grandparents Loraine McFarland and James McFarland. He leaves to cherish his memory loving parents, Katrina Morgan and Jermone McFarland; grandmother, Ollie Outlar; 7 sisters, Jacqueline, Amber, Ariana, LaShande, Mary, Jameika and Rosita; 3 brothers, Jermone Jr., Malichi and Jonte'; 4 aunts, 10 uncles, 12 nieces and nephews, along with a host of many loving relatives and friends; special cousins, Kendrick Morgan, Christopher Outlar and Montrel McFarland. Visitation Sunday, November 23, 2008, from 2 - 8 p.m., Family Hour 6 - 7 p.m. at House of Robinson Memorial Chapel, 1900 W. 15th Avenue. Funeral Services Monday, November 24, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Progressive Cathedral, 1169 Connecticut St., Gary, IN. Bishop Norman Hairston, officiant. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park, Hobart, IN. Devon attended Wm. H. Wirt High School where he was a member of the football team. He was a fun loving person who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Arrangements and Direction Entrusted The House of Robinson, 1900 W. 15th Ave., Gary, IN.

I had the pleasure of meeting Davon Morgan when he attended Pulaski School. He would stay in the office on his lunch hour to stay out of trouble. He was a good guy. He will be truly missed.
