Coleman, Dorothy J. Age 71, of Gary, IN and formerly of Jackson, Mississippi, departed this life on Saturday, December 21, 2013. She was a member of Progressive Missionary Baptist Church. Dorothy was formerly employed at Jefferson Smurfit Corporation. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Coleman. Funeral services Friday, January 3, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Smith, Bizzell and Warner Funeral Home, 4209 Grant Street, Gary, Indiana with Reverend Curtis Whittaker officiating. I was shocked to find out that my best friend's{ Melinda } mom had passed away, you and the rest of the family are in my thoughts & prayers. I found about the passing of your mom ,late Saturday the 4th I,am so sorry my family wasn't at Mrs. Dorthy's home going.
