Jack Vincent Prysock

JACK V. PRYSOCK STAUNTON, VA Jack Vincent Prysock, age 84, widower of Marjorie (Fleming) Prysock, of Staunton, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2005 in Augusta Nursing and Rehab Center, Fishersville, Virginia. He was born on July 12, 1921 in Bridgeport, Ohio, a son of the late Robert B. and Elizabeth S. (nee Koch) Prysock. He retired from the U.S. Army in 1972, after 30 years of service. He was a Colonel in the Infantry and a Veteran of World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. After retiring, he lived in Brooksville and Spring Hill, Florida for 29 years before moving to Staunton, Virginia. On June 27, 1942 he married Marjorie Fleming who preceded him in death on May 28, 2000. His brother, Robert also preceded him in death. Surviving hime are two sons, David and his wife, Phyllis of Salem, Oregon, and Alan and his wife, Kathleen of Bridgewater, Virginia; a daughter, Suzanne and her husband, Danny Staples of Churchville, Virginia; a sister, Gloria Sandles of Tigard, Oregon; two grandchildren, Jeffery Staples and Julie Staples Neto; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 2, 2005. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Parkinson's Foundation, 1501 North West 9th Street, Miami, FL 33136, to the American Heart Association, 3025 Berkmar Drive, Charlttesville, VA 22901, or to a charity of one's choice.
