JULIA C. GOLUCH Bradenton, Florida formerly of LaPorte, Indiana 1909 - 2008 Julia C. Goluch, age 99 years, passed away on Friday, October 3, 2008 in Bradenton, Florida. Born in Poland on April 5, 1909, she immigrated with her family to LaPorte, Indiana, several years later. After her marriage, she resided in Gary, Indiana until 1977, when she retired to Florida. In Gary, she was a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church and a secretary for the Gary Public Schools. In Florida, she was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church the L. W. Blake Hospital Auxiliary, and a charter member of the Literacy Council of Manatee County. For her thirteen years as a literacy tutor, she was named Volunteer of the Year. Preceded in death by her husband, John, she is survived by her daughters, Valerie (John) Flournoy of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Mary (Frank) Colvario of Boston, Massachusetts; two granddaughters; a great grandson and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass and burial in LaPorte, Indiana, on Friday, October 10th, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 130 Bach Street, La Porte. Visitation at Essling Funeral Home, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana 46350, two hours before the Mass.
