Laura Bailey Obituary

Laura Annella Bailey age 75 of Hammond,In passed away January 4,2023. Laura began her educational studies in Gary, Indiana and went on to receive her high school diploma at Indiana Vocation Technical High School in Hammond Indiana in June of 1967. Laura would later further her education with a certified degree in culinary arts. She held various positions while simultaneously employed at Schoop's and Cam Lam Restaurant. She was preceded in death by her late parents Mr. And Ms. Virgil Lee Bailey along Mrs. Lucinda Craig and one son Virgil Bailey. She is survived by her loving sister Mrs. Erise Williams of Gary Indiana along with her five remaining children, Shanelle Richards of Gary, Indiana, Deon (Tammie) Glover of Merrillville, Indiana, Jabarr (Kim) Bailey of Hammond, Indiana, and Quentin Austin of Hammond Indiana. Laura was the grandmother of 27. She was a great-grandmother of 14. She will be sorely missed by a loving brother-in-law Thomas Golson, and loving friend Mrs Judy Berts. All Services Saturday January 14,2023 at Kingdom Hall 6850 Northcote Ave Hammond,In. Burial Fern Oak Cemetery Griffith,In. Professional Services rendered by Powell Coleman Funeral Home.
