NASSER KASHANI

Each year as we inch toward April I get so sad, Nas... I wasn't built for this. I miss you, and I hope that wherever you are you are happy and can watch hockey and racing. Man. I really hate this time of year.

My deepest condolences to Nasser's Family. It was with a heavy heart that I received the news of Nasser's passing. My father and his are close friends, so I have many memories growing up with Nasser in Northwestern Indiana. And when I think of those times, one of the most constant pictures in my mind is that of his father hugging him and saying how happy he was with his boy. Nasser had to know he was loved. He certainly will be missed.

My condolences to the Family.
I worked at Amazon.com with Naskar for 2 years. I worked close enough with Naskar for him to make an impact on me at the workplace. I noticed his obituary in the newspaper I grabbed while enroute starting my vacation in the car. To my surprise I seen the death of Nasser. Could not believe my eyes. Notified all the employees I knew of at Amazon to inform them of the shocking announcement. Naskar was his own person. He was a hard worker & jack of all trades in the workplace. Remembered all the times he stuck piece work numbers in my face. Laughing his butt off because he made the quota for the day, while I was still struggling. I later found out he new how to fandangle the scan gun to get it done. Shiester! I stuck it in his face when I found out he was cheating. We laughted it off. I will remember ribbing him when he brought the replica wrestling championship belt to the Amazon workplace that he bought online. OMG! He was so proud of it until we brought up some good points on "Where you gonna wear that Naskar?" Yes, Naskar was in a class in itself. He was their for the workers, and openned up to me, which was a side I never would of expected because he kept to himself. He did have a good heart, and confided in me with his personal life and work orientated issues. Naskar, why did this happen? It's not fair. I did not know it would be the last time I would be speaking to you when I met you at Houlihans with some of the Amazon bunch. You will truly be missed.

Fenway - Nasser always loved it. Great day with Nasser and Cameron.

"To laugh often and much;
to win the respect of intelligent people
and the affection of children;
to earn the appreciation of honest critics
and endure the betrayal of false friends;
to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others;
to leave the world a bit better,
whether by a healthy child,
a garden patch
or a redeemed social condition;
to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.
This is to have succeeded."

That was Nasser.

What moves through us is a silence - a quiet sadness - a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch. We may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived and that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.

Peace to the Kashani family.

An on line guest book is oddly appropriate - I did not know Nasser personally, "just" on line. Where he's been part of my and our lives for years and years. Nothing I say seems good enough - I am very sorry for your loss.

Another FARKer here. Hard to believe I won't have him to banter with in NFL threads, anymore. The guy was loved and respected by almost everybody on FARK. I am truly sorry for your loss. As a parent, I can only imagine the grief your family must be trying to process right now. Although no words will truly make the pain go away, please take comfort in the loving words pouring in from all over the country. Nasser was truly one of a kind and loved by many people. He impacted a lot of lives...and many without ever having met the person/people face to face. That says a lot about his character. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. RIP Nasser. You'll always be an Andrean legend :)

There is no bond greater than that of a mother and a child.

However, there is no greater heartache or grief than the death of a child.

I personally know the heartache and grief a parent feels from the loss of a child. I have worn your shoes and I know how you feel.

My prayers are with you and your family.
May you find tranquility in knowing that friends and loved ones share your loss...
I send my heartfelt condolences' to you and your family.

My heart goes out to you at this time and in the days ahead. I am here when you need me.

To the Kashani Family,

Please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of Nasser. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

For the last three years or so I have been greeted electronically every morning to "Good morning, sunshines" by Nasser. Whether I posted in that email group that day, or no, that short "hello" brought a smile to my face. Nas was quirky, had a great sense of humor, a strong backbone, and was so very proud of his family. Even when he was feeling down, he managed to stay positive. He embraced life fully and possessed a kind, loving soul. Thank you so much for sharing him with us.

You were a good "kid", Nasser and I miss you bunches. Good night. I hope to see you on the other side, my friend.
