Love and condolence to the entire Smith/Johnson family. As a child, I remember your mother as a lively, vibrant , outgoing woman who enjoyed life and its offerings. Her presence was always felt "immediately" (by her voice) when she was near. Her absence will leave a void. A gracious lady she was.

Jamelba and the rest of my extended family - in Christ,

It is when everyone has returned home; the phone calls are few(er) in number; days are silent; can't reach that 'best friend" - need someone to lend an ear ...KNOW that Our Lord, Jesus Christ steps in and whispers
"I am here. I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKEN YOU."

Please know also, that I, your sister in Christ is just a phone call away. CALL ME ANYTIME: day or night AND I'll be there to(continue) PRAY and listen.

My deepest heartfelt condolence to Rev. Doran Johnson and the entire Johnson family. Our lives crossed many years ago when my children grew up together with the Johnson family attending the same schools, Washington, Tolleston, and Westside. Ruby was very active in her children’s lives and in our community as well. She will surely be missed by all who knew her. But Jesus went back to prepare a better place for us all in His Father’s kingdom. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Let us rejoice in this truth because we have hope in the Lord Jesus Christ and in His Word. I thank God for you Rev. Doran and Rev. Chet, you both stood up and answered your call. My oldest son Benjy, who passed many years ago, loved you and your family. Please contact me. I would love to hear from you. I pray for peace that surpasses all understanding for each one during your time of bereavement and forevermore. Minister Gloria Brown, Benjamin Moore-Benjy’s Mother.

Remember

Remember me when I am gone away,
Gone far away into the silent land;
When you can no more hold me by the hand,
Nor I half turn to go yet turning stay.
Remember me when no more day by day
You tell me of our future that you plann'd:
Only remember me; you understand
It will be late to counsel then or pray.
Yet if you should forget me for a while
And afterwards remember, do not grieve:
For if the darkness and corruption leave
A vestige of the thoughts that once I had,
Better by far you should forget and smile
Than that you should remember and be sad.

To my dear Soror Monice Liliie, my dear friend Juana and Pastor Chet,
My sincere condolences to your family on the demise of your mother.

Loss of Mother Poem

Now that I am gone,
remember me with smiles and laughter.
And if you need to cry,
cry with your brother or sister
who walks in grief beside you.
And when you need me,
put your arms around anyone
and give to them what you need to give to me.
There are so many who need so much.
I want to leave you something --
something much better than words or sounds.
Look for me in the people I've known
or helped in some special way.
Let me live in your heart
as well as in your mind.
You can love me most
by letting your love reach out to our loved ones,
by embracing them and living in their love.
Love does not die, people do.
So, when all that's left of me is love,
give me away as best you can.

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.
