Thomas J. Troupe

1935 - 2018

Thomas J. Troupe was born November 19, 1935 in Decatur, Alabama. He was a 1953 graduate of Gary Roosevelt High School. From 1954 to 1958, Thomas served in the United States Air Force doing a tour of duty in Germany as Military Police. After his military service, Thomas, affectionately known by his family as TJ, worked for The United States Postal Service, Brinks Armored Truck Services and later retired from the Lake County Sheriff's Department. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel M. Troupe and James Etta Troupe DuVaul and his brother, Clark E. Troupe. He is survived by his son, Thomas J. Troupe Jr., of N. Carolina, sister, Margaret Troupe Fisher of Mobile, Al, nephews and caregivers, Clark T. Troupe, (Antoinette) and Earmon Hill, sister-in-law, Carmen Troupe Hill, all of Gary, IN., nieces, Monica (William) McIntosh, Rev. Rebecca A. Fisher, Victoria McGuire, all of Mobile, Alabama. Visitation Friday, November 30, 2018 from 9 to 11:00am with funeral services following at 11:00am all at the Guy & Allen Chapel. Officiating Rev. Shelly Fisher. Interment Oak Hill Cemetery.
