Al, was such a sweet man. He had a smile that matched his twinkling eyes. I enjoyed speaking with him so much. He shall be missed by many. Rest in peace dear man.

We will miss his laughter and his smile. So many good memories of him playing sheepshead with the other dads/uncles and playing softball at family get togethers. You are in our thoughts and prayers!

Your Dad/Grandpa will surely be missed by many. Our Wells neighborhood won’t be the same without him. Always a friendly wave or conversation as we drove or walked by, always looking on the bright side of things even when he didn’t feel well, a man of great faith in his Lord and such a great example for us all. Now both of your parents are at peace together. Our prayers are with all of you.

There is no twinkling smile like Al’s. This guy filled our bike tires, pumped up our basketballs, helped round up our dog, gave us many winks, and looked out for us for years. Al and Shirley were the best neighbors. I know my dad will miss many things about his snowmobiling and tractor-fixing partner. So much love to his family as they miss their dad, grandpa, brother, uncle, great grandpa and cousin.
Thank you, Al, for always watching out for those Loose kids while we were growing up and always welcoming us into your yard, your garage and your home. We hit the neighbor jackpot. We love you.

The world should be full of people like Al and it would be a better place. I was a young boy when Al worked for Henry Carstens & Sons but I will always remember how he treated me when I visited the mill. Later in life, when my wife and I bought the business he was a very valued customer and friend. Ours prayers to the family!

My sympathy to your family. My dad, Robert (Bob) Rappel was a coworker at Saunders and very good friend with Al. His friendship with our family was valued! My thoughts and prayers are extended to all of you.

Al and Shirley were very good members of the Potter Community Association for years and always available to help with fundraisers, putting up Christmas decorations and partying. A big heart and fun loving guy who will be missed by many. Sorry we did not get a chance to pay you a visit before you left, looking forward to joining the party with you when it is our time. Gary and Joan.
