I remember Brian as being my first 'crush' in high school although he didn't know. He was so kind to everyone in high school. I believe he played the trumpet in the school band with me? Such a sad loss. It can be so hard to face the first year without your loved one, but the love of family and friends can carry you through.

The Plan of the Master Weaver
My life is but a weaving
between the Lord and me,
I may not choose the colors,
He knows what they should be;
For He can view the pattern
Upon the upper side
While I can see it only
On this, the under side.
Sometimes He weaveth sorrow,
Which seemeth strange to me;
But I will trust His judgment,
And work on faithfully;
'Tis He who fills the shuttle,
And He knows what is best,
So I shall weave in earnest,
Leaving to Him the rest.
Not till the loom is silent
and the shuttles cease to fly
Shall God unroll the canvas
And explain the reason why--
The dark threads are as needed
In the Weaver's skillful hand
As the threads of gold and silver
In the pattern He has planned.

Brian,
From the first time I met you so many years ago, I found such a caring and gentle soul, a smile that lit up a room, a sense of humor that everybody loved, your swagger and kindness were loved by all that knew you.
God had a different plan and that was to save you from the demons that were taking you over.
Watch over all those that struggle Brian....we need your wings of encouragement, your soul to guide all the others that have suffered and are suffering.
One last hug to you my friend.

Dennis, Pat and families I am so truly sorry for your loss. I personally am devastated by the loss of Brian and the loss to your families. Brian will forever be in my heart and a very very special person that touched my life in so many ways. Over the years we stayed very close and only lost touch when we left Winneconne and moved to the Western UP. I remember all the times we drove to the UP to ski even when it was such a whiteout but we were determined. Never did I ever believe I would live there and own a business there. Every time I go to Ironwood which is almost daily I think of those times and the fun we all had. I will forever hold him in my heart and the memories that we shared. God Bless you Brian you are in a better place and at peace.
