Bruce Anunson Obituary

Bruce E. Anunson

Neenah - Bruce Edward Anunson, 93, died Saturday April 4, 2020. His heart stopped beating, it needed a rest. He was born in the Town of Winchester on November 16, 1926, son of the late Edwin and Molly (Kinsman) Anunson. Bruce married Marilyn (Kuehnl) Syring on June 8, 1968.

Bruce farmed part time and was a truck driver for Remick Transfer and Storage. He retired from trucking in 1984 and farmed beef cattle full time. In their younger years, Bruce and Marilyn enjoyed couples bowling and dancing. Bruce was a member of the Fox Valley Retires Association. He enjoyed deer hunting, and spending time at the cottage on Lake Poygan, especially having fireside parties with his neighbors. His greatest enjoyment came from time spent with his family, especially having everyone over on Christmas Eve and making his oyster stew.

Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Marilyn; His two children: daughter Deborah (Norbert) Van Den Elzen, and son, Bruce (Beverly) Anunson; his six step-children: Jeffrey (Margie) Syring, Dell Syring, Cindy (Chuck) Sharp, Mark Syring (special friend, Kathy), Linda Kappell (special friend, Brian), and Susan (Terry) Stevens; four grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; 13 step-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Janice Hoger. He was further preceded in death by his first wife, Rita; stepson, Roy Syring; and his sister, Gloria Armstrong.

A private family service will be held.

I've gotten to know Bruce/Marilyn approximately 1970 and as I think of Bruce I am reminded of the many memories around the campfires at Lake Poygan, his ghost stories, the boating and many more memories to mention. I'm not sure there is enough space to write all the memories here. I'm glad I got to see him last summer for a brief visit. RIP my friend

Our sympathy to all of Bruce's family. I remember he always had a smile on his face no matter when you saw him. He was such a happy go lucky guy and loved his family very much. We hope you find comfort knowing he didn't suffer and that he lived a great full life. God be with you in this time of sorrow.

We will miss Bruce very much; the tractor talks, card games and the teasing. He was a great friend. May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
