Donna Steinwedel Obituary
Age 77, of Golden Valley, MN, passed away at home on May 23, 2016. Preceded in death by parents as well as siblings Mary, Elaine, Pat, Hank, and twin brother Dick. Survived by husband of 54 years, Robert; daughters, Sandra (Janice Loewen) Koppen and Stephanie Steinwedel; son, Charles (Francesca Morgan) Steinwedel; grandchildren, Laura, Natalie, Daniel, and Susannah; as well as numerous beloved family and friends. Donna was an active member of Calvary Lutheran Church of Golden Valley and the Rebecca Circle, a devoted MN Twins fan through good years and bad, and an avid Scrabble player. Her smile and big personality will be sorely missed. A memorial service will take place at 11am on Thursday, May 26, 2016, at Gearty-Delmore Funeral Chapel, 3888 West Broadway, Robbinsdale, MN. Visitation one hour prior. Luncheon at funeral home following service. Memorials may be directed to Minneapolis Pops Orchestra Association.

Grandma was really nice and had a great attitude on me. I loved it when she sang Do-Re-Mi, Beautiful Dreamer and Climb Evry Mountain to me at night, I really liked it. I loved it when she took me out for trick-or-treating while Mom was on bed rest for Susannah. She was a really good cook, her coconut oatmeal and chocolate chip cookies are so delicious and so were her Swedish meatballs and her friend Katies Burritos. I loved it when she played with me when I was little. I loved it when she came to visit at our house and also with Grandpa. I loved it when she came to my concerts, especially with Grandpa. I loved seeing her and Grandpa in Door County and Appleton. I loved all the things she gave to me. I loved it when she said Youve got ants in your pants when I was being silly. I loved it when she sang Let it be by The Beatles with the music. When I had word homework, I loved it when she helped me. I wish she would see me graduate from middle school, start high school, and see me pet the dogs. She was really funny. I miss her dearly and I will never ever forget her ever in my life.

So sorry to hear of Donna's passing. I will always remember our days in that wonderful neighborhood --her coffee pot was always on and her door was always open.
We are in our 80's and driving concerns kept us from the memorial--I would love to know more about where the kids are and what they are doing.
