George Krause Obituary

George F. Krause

Waupaca - George F. Krause, age 63, passed away of natural causes, unexpectedly, Saturday, January 12, 2019. He was born in Madison, WI on March 28, 1955 to Charles and Ann (Fleming) Krause. He served in the U.S. Army and graduated from UW-Oshkosh. On August 7, 1982, he was united in marriage to Mary Sue Glaser.

He was a hard worker; a man that built a home for his family and started his own business. As everyone knew, he was the man that brought the fun. He said he accomplished everything he set out to do. His family is so thankful to know that they will see him again through the gift of eternal life in Jesus Christ.

He will be dearly missed by his wife, Mary Sue; daughters: Sarah Krause of Menasha, Katherine Krause of San Antonio, TX and Rebecca Krause of Madison; sisters: Victoria (Doug) Percy of SC, Sarah Krause of Combined Locks, Lori Nejedlo of Menasha, and Kris (Gary) Merchant of Kaukauna; brothers: Charles Krause of Menasha and Gus (Teri) Krause of TX. He is also survived by brothers-in-law, Dan (Lori) Glaser of Milwaukee, Tom Glaser of MO, and John (Katie) Glaser of Shorewood; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Preceding him in death were his son, Charles Krause; parents; in-laws, Joe and Jane Glaser; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Claudia Cook and Kerry Cook.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Victory Church, E3443 S. Appletree Lane, Waupaca, with military honors to follow. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.

George was by far one of the kindest men I have ever known. His warm smile, wonderful laugh and genuine interest in the people around him made him so very special. The world was a better place because of George and he will be missed by more than he would ever imagine.

I'll always remember George for his generous laugh! He could fill a room with joy just by his presence. I was so privileged to get to know him and Mary better through Bible study (and to know the Krause twins). I also loved his honesty and his willingness to be real in the face of life's toughest questions. He was a Godly man who loved his family and friends well. Can't wait to see George -- and hear his laugh again -- in glory.

You and your family, George, will always hold a special place in my heart.
