Jonathan Hanges Obituary
Kimberly - Jonathan Michael "Mike" Hanges, age 65, died Wednesday, June 27, 2018. He was born in Appleton on November 22, 1952 to the late John and Geneva (Hopfensperger) Hanges. Mike married Christine Locke on November 18, 1972 at Faith Lutheran Church in Appleton. He served for 8 years in the U.S. Air Force. Mike worked as an Outagamie County 911 dispatcher for 35 years, until his retirement in 2013. He bowled in his younger years and loved Corvettes. Mike also loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Mike is survived by his wife of 45 years, Chris; children: Joshua (Jaclynn), Jessica (Matthew) Lancaster and Jared, all of Appleton; grandchildren: Shjon, Lain, Kali and Kloie Hanges; and siblings: Linda (Dale) Spoehr, Keith (Mary) Hanges and Tina Hanges. His is also survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Saturday, June 30, 2018 at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main St. Little Chute) from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral at 11:00 a.m. Deacon Vincent De Groot will officiate. Military rites, conducted by the Kaukauna V.F.W. Post 3319 and American Legion Post 41, will immediately follow. Committal Highland Memorial Park. To sign the guest book, please visit oconnellfh.com.

I have been out of town, but I am so very sorry to see that Mike passed away. We grew up next door to the Hanges on Telulah St. Lots of fun memories of time spent back and forth between our houses. It is with much sadness that we send our condolences to Chris and Mikes family. It seems it was just yesterday that Mike was a youngster playing with his friends on South Telulah Avenue. We will remember Mike as a kind, friendly, likable youngster and adult. The world needs more Mikes. Jud and Marge Conkey

Josh, very sorry to hear of your dad's passing. He was a nice man. He always seemed to enjoy the character of the Tavern League. It's never easy to lose a loved one. Especially when they're young. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Chris & family. John was the classic definition of a "good guy" I worked with him for many years and can't say one bad thing about him. He was dedicated to his family and job. He will be truly missed. I will be out of the area for his funeral but he will be remembered always . Ed & Deb Danoski
