Joseph Mokry Obituary
Joseph C. Mokry, 89, Appleton, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2015, at home with family at his side. He was born on August 1, 1926 in Chicago to the late Otto and Ida (Dolezal) Mokry. Joe married Lorraine Bachmayer on July 8, 1950; she preceded him in death in June 2012. He worked as a machinist as Kurz & Root. Joe was a charter member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. He was a family man who loved his wife, his children, his granddaughter and his great-granddaughters dearly.
Joe is survived by his children: Wanda (Rick) Mokry-Sellers, Cedar Rapids, IA, Mary Ann Mokry, Appleton and Kevin Mokry, Appleton; grandchild: Loralee (Mike) O'Malley and great-granddaughters: Brinlee and Caitlin O'Malley.
He was preceded in death by his wife and an infant son, Joseph Jr.
A Mass of Resurrection will take place Friday, October 30, 2015 at 11:30 am at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Appleton. Friends may visit the family from 9:30 am until the time of Mass on Friday at church. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Appleton.

Uncle Joe was the last of the great generation in the Mokry family. He was a gentle soul, like his father. I remember a "broken wheel" floral display when Grandpa passed away but the wheel has been made whole in heaven.

Very sorry to hear of Mr. Mokry's passing. He was a very friendly and nice man from my days of bowling with Kevin at Hahn's Lanes. He was there every Saturday watching Kevin and bowling in the summer leagues. He and Kevin rode to a youth tournament in Green Bay with us. Travelling up 41 through Wrightstown, Joe points to the cemetery and asks me, 'How many people are dead in that cemetery?' I responded with a number. Joe pipes up, 'All of them!' That still makes me chuckle every time I travel on 41. RIP, Joe.
