Meyer, Joyce J.

Joyce J. Meyer, age 96, of Clintonville, formerly of Peshtigo, passed away Tuesday morning, July 19, 2011 at the Evergreen Care Center, Shawano.

Joyce was born on July 13, 1915 in Clintonville, the daughter of the late Hugh and Cora (Stillman) Waite. She later was united in marriage to Earl A. Meyer. The couple lived in Peshtigo and later move to Clintonville where they lived the rest of their married life. Mr. Meyer preceded his wife in death in 1970. Joyce had worked as a nurse's aid at the Pine Manor Health Care Center, Embarrass for many years. Her hobbies included cooking and baking.

Survivors include: her daughters: Kay Cota, Green Bay; Dawn Meyer, Hudson, FL; Sally (Richard) Smiley, Marion; her son: Jeff "Outfit" (Kathy) Meyer, Clintonville; 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and her sister: Gertrude Schroepfer, Antigo.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Earl Meyer.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2 until 4 P.M. Thursday at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, Clintonville. Interment will be in the Peshtigo Riverside Cemetery, Peshtigo. An online guest book may be signed at www.eberhardtstevenson.com
